Qualified from the British School of Osteopathy in 1979, her time there overlapping with the Allen's. Initially practicing in Lincoln, Fiona subsequently had her own practice in Henley on Thames for ten years, all the time continuing to teach in the student clinic at the British School of Osteopathy. Relocating to Shropshire Fiona took a career break to look after her children. During this time the regulatory framework for Osteopathy in the UK   changed dramatically with the introduction of statutory regulation to replace the previous voluntary system, and consequently Fiona had to re qualify from the BSO before joining the Allen’s practice in 2006. Fiona has subsequently completed a Masters degree in Paediatric Osteopathy, studying at the Osteopathic Centre for Children. Whilst doing her MSc Fiona trained with the osteopathic team treating very premature and sick babies in the neonatal intensive care units at Barnet and North Middlesex Hospitals in London and has found this extremely valuable in her subsequent treatment of babies and children.
